If you are interested in history, geography, photography or just seeing new places and meeting new people, Namibia won’t disappoint you.
I am actually speechless, I am surround by this beautiful Damaraland landscape, loving the way each view changes as the sun travels across the sky. I am taking photos like crazy but I don’t think they do this place justice. It is the fall here, it will soon be winter and it is about 97 degrees F 33 C at noon. It will definely get even warmer as the day goes on. Mowani

It is hard to imagine how people can live in this harsh environment.
We were here in 2019 and one very striking distance is the grass everywhere. Because of the rain which I have mentioned in an earlier post, this grass is everywhere. Some of the locals have never seen it like this.
It is stunning. From our room at this camp they fill the valley below and with a slight breeze the grasses sway gently back and forth. Then there are the boulders piled up high looking like they will fall or roll down momentarily. They go from dark brown to a golden reddish orange throughtout the day.
I suppose this landscape has not changed much in the last couple hundred years. Where else can you see that?
